Broccoli Slaw Stir Fry-Paleo

This dish is another result of using what I had around the house.  The boys loved it!  I will definitely make this one again and maybe mess around with some different sauces for it.   As a little disclaimer, I am no chef by any means just go off of what sounds and looks good to me 🙂

2 Tablespoons of Olive oil
1 Package of Sweet Italian Sausages, casing removed and chopped (I use TJ’s brand)
4 Green Onions, diced
2 Cups of Bell Peppers, I used red, green and yellow and frozen from TJ’s
2 Heads of Broccoli Florets
1 Bag of  Organic Broccoli Slaw (TJ’s)
1 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper
1/4 Cup of Raw Honey
Sea Salt and Pepper to taste
  1. Heat olive oil over medium heat in large soup pot.  Once heated add chopped chicken sausage let cook until no longer pink.  Drain and set aside.
  2. If you need more oil in the pan, add a little more olive oil.  Saute bell peppers and onions for about 3-5 minutes.  Add broccoli florets, I covered to cook it a little faster.  Cook for another 3 minutes or so then add sausage back to pan.
  3. Put broccoli slaw into a large bowl, add seasonings and honey and coat the slaw well.
  4. Add slaw to pot, mix well and cover for about 3-5 more minutes or until slaw begins to soften.
  5. Dish it out!

Enjoy!
