One of the first books I got about the Paleo Diet was the Everyday Paleo. I got that one because the author Sarah Fragoso has her kids on the cover with her. I love that because I’m always having my little guy in the kitchen with me to help. Most of it gets eaten before dinner but still I love cooking with him. I did 3 full weeks of her recipes and loved every single one of them. There were somethings I had to change per I didn’t have an ingredient or it was too spicy for our little one but other than that there hasn’t been anything that I have made out of her book that we didn’t like.
I really thought it was going to be harder than it was. Our 2 and a half-year old said “I don’t like it” for about a week and a half but then realized that was all there was to eat and is now eating everything we do. There’s still some things he doesn’t eat yet but it’s only a matter of time! It was a lot different not having our brown rice and whole wheat noodles with cheese at dinners and at first I did have a hard time trying to figure out what to feed Micah (our son) for lunches, but with the Everyday Paleo book she outlines kids lunches. Look for some of her recipes that I made and check out her site. I give a lot of credit to her for helping our family’s transition from ‘clean eating’ to Paleo at lot easier!
